They’re finished, at least for now. The 2019 session of the Virginia General Assembly finished business and adjourned Sunday, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch [1]:
The Virginia General Assembly adjourned its scandal-marred session a day late Sunday after lawmakers backed revisions to the state’s two-year budget.
The 47-day session closed shortly before noon.
Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, who presides over the Senate, gave a closing speech in which he maintained his innocence against accusations of sexual assault and cautioned lawmakers against what he termed a rush to judgment.
