Statement from Senate Majority Leader Thomas Norment on Senate Progress

Senate Majority Leader Thomas K. Norment, Jr. (R-James City) issued the following statement: 

“With only 17 days remaining before the scheduled adjournment of the 2019 General Assembly session, Senate Republicans are focusing our energies on completing our work on the budget, providing tax relief for working families, and making healthcare more affordable. We are also working on the hundreds of bills we sent to the House for consideration, and the hundreds of House bills we are now considering.

“While there appear to be more representatives of the news media on Capitol Square than were here for Queen Elizabeth’s visit, the work of the people of Virginia must continue. Senate Republicans are committed to ensuring that work is completed on time.”
