On Friday, 10th District Congresswoman Barbara Comstock dropped political napalm on her primary opponent, Shak Hill. Comstock’s campaign released a new website, ShadyShak.com ^[1], to expose Hill’s various political and social misdeeds. That being said, this is not just campaign mudslinging, this is not lies or dirty tricks … this is just verifiable facts about Shak Hill.

I am not going to go into all of the content of the website because I want our readers to check it out for themselves. However, there is some pretty damning information on this website, not just about Shak Hill as a candidate, but the moral character of a man who claims to be a “family values” candidate.

The website ends with a line that goes for the jugular:

“SHAK HILL CAN’T BE TRUSTED. HE’LL GIFT WRAP THIS CONGRESSIONAL SEAT TO NANCY PELOSI BECAUSE HE’S A CREEPY, PERENNIALLY FAILED CANDIDATE WHO IS DEEPLY IN DEBT WITH A FAILED BUSINESS CAREER.”

These revelations bring answers to questions many had held for years about this perennially running candidate. Where did he come from? What was his background? The questions beleaguered Shak Hill so much that Jeanine Martin at the Bull Elephant ^[2] stated in 2014 that:

There are other problems with Shak Hill.  He has not been vetted.  We know precious little about him….We have no idea what we will learn about Shak after a nomination.  Can we afford to nominate an unknown again?  Did we learn nothing from E.W. Jackson’s campaign and everything that came out about him after his nomination? How well does anyone know Shak Hill?  Who knows what’s in his background?  Who knows what he has said and done in the past?  Who knows what he will do in the future?

Now that Jeanine has changed her tune and loves this unvetted candidate, it just goes to show you that no one until now has taken the time to actually vet Shak Hill.

Barbara Comstock should receive nothing but praise for her actions. The 10th District Congressional seat is something that should be fought for and protected by mainstream Republicans. That seat deserves a strong representative with the moral quality and character to be an effective representative.

Voters will have to decide if Shak Hill has the moral fiber in him to be the 10th District Congressman. No matter if it is a questionable charity he set up, his utter lack of experience in government affairs (Shak Hill spent six months on the City Council of West Melbourne, Florida, compared to a lifetime of work of Congresswoman Comstock), or his just downright questionable actions online, Shak Hill does not deserve to be elected to anything.

Until mainstream Republicans start fighting far right-wing candidates with facts, we will always be on the defensive. Barbara Comstock decided she had enough and decided that she wanted to play offense.

Barbara Comstock just set an example of what all mainstream Republicans need to do in their primary challenges. With that I say:

PAGING SCOTT TAYLOR! PAGING BEN CLINE! THIS IS HOW YOU WIN YOUR CONGRESSIONAL SEATS.

If Scott Taylor and Ben Cline want to get out and win their respective primary challenges like Barbara is going to, they need to take a page out of the Barbara Comstock playbook by digging up the research to napalm their opponents with the facts. In the case of their opponents Cynthia Dunbar and Mary Jones, that oppositional research doesn’t take a rocket scientist. It takes an intern with a search engine (mainly LexusNexus) and a good hour of their time.

Bravo Congresswoman Comstock for successfully fighting right-wing extremists because facts beat feelings every single time.
