The 2012 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who was scheduled to make an announcement Thursday on his plans concerning the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat, has been postponed.

The massacre at a Florida high school [2] occurred on Valentine’s Day with 17 dead and multiple injuries.
The Senate seat is being vacated by Utah Senator Orrin Hatch who plans to retire.
NBC reported that the announcement was planned to be by video message followed by Romney’s first campaign speech at a Friday night Lincoln Day dinner. There was no word about a rescheduled announcement.
