Score: About those monuments…

On this podcast edition of The Score radio show…

Scott Lee and I dive into the big issue of the month: the fallout from the Charlottesville riots (with a side helping of confederate monuments). Scott thinks the whole thing has been blown out of proportion. As the politics of the issue continue to sort themselves out, and Scott and I talk about where the issue may go (hint: to a House of Delegates race near you). Scott expands on his thoughts later, saying that not everything in the nation is racist, and, contrary to the assertions of some, the nation is not evil. Are there bad episodes, imperfections, outright failures? Absolutely. But Scott wonders where the mob draws the line.

Later, contrasting views from Ed Gillespie and Ralph Northam on those confederate monuments dotted around the state, and there’s an eclipse coming. Scott’s not exactly excited about it. Maybe he’s just not up on his Pink Floyd…
