Seriously, Corey. We Weren’t Joking. Shut Up.

Brian Schoeneman’s epic rebuke of Prince William Supervisor Corey Stewart pretty much is the sentiment of everyone here at BD:

Corey, if you’re listening, do us all a favor.

Shut your mouth.

That said, what is he going to do Thursday? Hold a press conference at his house.

Woodbridge, VA – Corey Stewart will be holding a press conference outside his home Thursday morning to discuss his future plans.

In what can only be seen as the epitome of ego, Chairman Stewart will enlighten all of us because we care so much.

What we’re likely to be entreated to is his bold new agenda to take on Senator Tim Kaine in the 2018 election. Another course of action might be that he’s rededicating himself to the people of Prince William County.

Regardless, bully. He’ll make a fine Senate candidate and someone conservatives should consider for the nomination. He’s also been a decent community servant for Prince William…that’s a good thing.

BUT NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR HIM TO HAVE THE SPOTLIGHT!

This is the time for Ed Gillespie, Jill Vogel, and John Adams.

These constant Stewart interventions in which he hopes to maintain a degree of relevance are tedious and tiresome. What he really ought to be doing is discussing how awesome this Republican ticket is. And, he doesn’t need a press conference in front of his house to talk about his future plans to do that.

Heck, maybe he should show up at a rally and even hold a sign?

But Corey is for Corey. So it’s no surprise to see this attempt at relevance.

We’re all waiting with baited breath for the big announcement about his future. Not really.
