VPOD: Clay Jenkinson (aka “Thomas Jefferson”)

Clay Jenkinson is an award-winning humanities scholar, author and radio personality. He also happens to do something pretty unique: portray Thomas Jefferson to a national audience every week.

Jenkinson joins us to help us understand how he gets into character, what inspires him, what he reads, and how he prepares. We also then interview Mr. Jefferson and ask important questions regarding his interpretation of the Constitution regarding the Electoral College, Supreme Court justices, Executive Authority on the use of force, and, for everyone embroiled in Virginia politics, how he feels about an Adams running to be attorney general in the commonwealth.

Jenkinson appears on WHRV, 89.5 FM in Hampton Roads and on Radford University’s 89.9 WVRU in the Roanoke region. But you can, like VPOD, stream archived episodes of “The Jefferson Hour” through their website [1].

Jenkinson will be appearing at Christopher Newport University, April 19, 7:30 pm at the Ferguson Center. Tickets are available here [2].

You can also vacation with Jenkinson on an expedition that could just be life-changing July 18-27 from Great Falls to Missoula, MT. Learn more about this awesome opportunity at odytours.net [3].

I have to say, this is one of the more interesting podcasts I have done.
