Mike Rubino Wrong About Corey Stewart

My name is Christianné L. Allen. Many of you know me as Mike Rubino’s intern for the Donald J. Trump for President campaign.
I was brought on in October 2015 to assist Mike as his intern in our Glen Allen, VA campaign headquarters. I worked with Mike every week, and loved every minute of it! Mike knows a lot of people in Virginia politics and taught me a lot about the maneuvering that goes on behind-the-scenes. I even had the opportunity to speak at our October 30th Norfolk rally!
However, I was shocked to hear my friend Mike bash our former Campaign Chairman. As an intern, I got a close look into the Virginia Trump campaign and I’d like to take this time to set the record straight about some of the gross misinformation going around about Corey Stewart.
In December 2015, Mike introduced me to Corey. Corey was visiting the office to speak with Mike about becoming the campaign’s Virginia chairman. Mike was eager to get Corey on board and spoke excitedly about making Corey the “next Governor of Virginia.” In fact, contrary to his false statement that he had Corey promise not to mention his run for governor until November 9th, it was Mike who encouraged him to run in the first place.
Given my past experience, I was shocked to hear Mike speaking badly about Corey recently – accusing him of campaigning for Governor without permission. Not only does that contradict what Mike told me, but it’s also untrue.
Corey poured his heart and soul into the Trump campaign. He was barnstorming the state, speaking at rallies, and door-knocking for Donald Trump – and was the only Virginia politician willing to take the risk and support Trump from the start. Most recently, we worked together on the “America First” dinners: a set of campaign events designed to organize and rally the Trump grassroots in key areas throughout the state. Never once did Corey emphasize the 2017 election – it was all about Trump. The same was true for EVERY appearance Corey made. Like Mike Rubino, Corey believed in Trump and wanted him to be our 45th President of the United States.
And who, meanwhile, was promoting Corey as a candidate for Governor? John Fredericks promoted Corey’s run for governor during the Trump campaign when he introduced Corey at the Richmond Trump rally in September.
I’m not sure why these same two men are now colluding to take Corey down, but there’s something more to this story and I urge anyone who knows what’s going on to speak out.
