The Score: Baseball and Politics

On this podcast edition of “The Score” radio show…

It’s Scott Lee’s favorite time of year…with the World Series in progress, and the presidential campaign dragging itself to the finish line. Scott wonders what our politics would be like if everyone was rooting for, and working for, the same team. Not the red or blue side, but the American side.

His most controversial point, however, is about the designated hitter…

Then Scott and I delve back into the kerfuffle over Gov. McAuliffe, a 2015 Senate race in Northern Virginia, and the FBI probe into Hillary Clinton’s emails. It was the subject of my Washington Post column this week (which generated some interesting feedback).

Bottom line: Terry McAuliffe is many things. He does not, however, have the ability to see the future. Nor does he have the skill to make the complex series of trick shots the story requires.

Plus, Tim Kaine’s interview with a rap star Pusha T, Donald Trump’s agenda for his first 100 days in office, people thank the President for raising health insurance premiums, and canoes. Who knew they were symbols of theft and genocide?

Help us out here, Stan…
