The Score: Two Terrible People Take the Stage
On this podcast edition of “The Score” radio show…
Scott Lee goes back to last Sunday night’s debate (or town hall fracas, if you prefer). Scott’s analysis begins with a stop at the Howard Stern Show, followed by a trip through rap lyrics, Bill Maher, and more. Scott compares all of this to what Donald Trump said in the now-infamous 2005 Access Hollywood video. And he wonders about our culture. Are the two major party candidates the epitome of today’s culture? Scott calls them “two of the worst people” in politics today. But which party is more upset about its nominee? Scott thinks the answer to that question tells us a lot.
Then, it’s on to the questions asked in the debate, and one in particular, on Obamacare. The ACA is dying by degrees. Secretary Clinton wants to “fix it” — violating the first rule of holes. Other questions, such as they were, bordered on the inane. And generated more inanity in return.
Later, “GO Virginia,” with its four letter mission: jobs. Scott calls it a cronyist boondoggle. But that’s just Virginia pols doing what they do best… splashing around in a pool other people’s money (no diving, please).
And Trump’s retrenchment. Virginia staffers are heading elsewhere, and some are displeased. And Liberty University students, some of whom are rebelling against their school’s leaders, and opposing The Donald.
It’s going to be a long slog to Election Day…which means there’s just thing left to do:
