VPOD: Mike Wade for Congress, VA-4
Mike Wade has been sheriff of Henrico County for seventeen years. But with Virginia’s congressional districts recently redrawn by a California professor and upheld by the federal judiciary, he now would like to be the new congressman from Virginia’s 4th District.
In this podcast, Wade does not talk about the typical partisan ideas that we hear so often – immigration, taxes, national security, economy – in starkly partisan terms. Instead he focuses on the individual and coming up with conservative solutions that are tried and true at the most fundamental levels; principles that he learned from a very young age as the son of an alcoholic.
You get the sense very quickly from Wade that he’s not running for any sort of title – but knows the federal government has seriously overstretched itself, and that serious people who have led individuals through reform and recovery are needed to rehabilitate this nation.
