Speaker Ryan Does the Moonwalk Over Trump
A week ago, House Speaker Paul Ryan said about supporting Trump. “Well, to be perfectly candid with you, I’m just not ready to do that at this point.”
The earth quaked. Primary opponent Paul Nehlen glistened as Sarah Palin leaped to his side, saying they would “Cantor” Paul Ryan if he didn’t straighten up.
Ryan probably felt safe, since Trump lost Wisconsin pretty handily. But after that, Trump never lost again.
Ryan took a few steps back and said everyone should just wait and be patient, because everyone’s been so busy that he wants to meet with Trump before he can even think about supporting him.
Uh huh.
That was the reason he said he wasn’t endorsing Trump. He was just waiting for the big meeting.
Well, today was the big meeting, and Paul Ryan moonwalked backwards even more.
Ryan called it a “great conversation” and that they planted seeds of unity.
Awwww. It’s that cute? Farmer Ryan the seed planter.
Today they called their differences “few” and they are “totally committed to working together” to unify the party and win in November.
Still no formal endorsement from Ryan exactly, but let’s talk reality here.
Speaker Paul Ryan has moonwalked his way back on the Trump Train.
See how easy it is, fellas?
