[1]The Republican Party in Hanover held its meeting to elect party leadership last evening and Chairwoman Nancy Russell was defeated by relative newcomer Russ Wright by a 168-129 margin.
Wright, who has publicly expressed having Tea Party/Libertarian leanings and no real proclivity to the GOP creed, decidedly remakes the image of the party in the county; one which was once seen as a Richmond suburb loyal to moderate Republicans like former Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling.
Is this an indication of change spreading across the commonwealth?
