You really can’t make this stuff up, folks. From the helpful folks at NRCC:
“Democrats are so desperate to find a candidate in VA-10 that they’ve resorted to settling on someone who doesn’t even live in Virginia. Maybe if LuAnn Bennett actually lived in the Commonwealth she would realize what the Democrats’ failed recruits already do – which is that Barbara Comstock is doing a great job representing her district and will be re-elected next November.”
This comes after the DCCC failed to get any of the four Virginia Democrats to consider running against the popular Rep. Barbara Comstock… you know, folks who actually live in Virginia.
Of course, one supposes that VA-10 is a nice consolation prize, even if it might be a tad bit awkward. Mrs. Moran Bennett Moran Bennett will have to explain why her Ritz-Carlton DC penthouse makes her worthy of becoming a Virginia representative… much less whether she actually owns property in VA-10 (beyond another playhouse in horse country, that is).
Sure like to know how Ritz-Carlton values are Virginia values. Maybe LuAnn can discuss this over foie gras?
