I’ve been trying to write a post on “The Donald” being an ignorant racist for the past two weeks. But, everyone kept saying the same thing I was thinking. If you have a minute, check out Chris Beer’s post on this subject. He said what a majority of Republicans are thinking about the former Reality TV star.
But the best explanation for how “The Donald” is being a terrible representative of the GOP is his latest spat with Former Texas Governor Rick Perry. Trump recently attack Governor Perry for “not doing enough to secure the border.” Never mind the fact Perry deployed 1,000 Texas National Guardsmen to the Mexican border, he “didn’t do enough” for Donald Trump.
Governor Perry responded with this.

Perry handled this situation EXACTLY like every Republican should handle this situation. Explain their opposition on illegal immigration, then talk about the respect of others.
So many people of Latin American descent have shaped our nation and the Republican Party. Every person should have a right to be respected in the Republican Party. We should be able to admit that illegal immigration is a problem, but should be able to talk to others with respect afforded to them for being a human being.
Everyone could have a slip of the tongue, but that is not the case with Mr. Trump. His actions are despicable and disgusting. Heck, he isn’t that big of a Republican to begin with.
I would be remiss if I didn’t quote a passage from the 3rd Chapter of James when speaking about Donald Trump:
“3-2 We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
3 When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4 Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.”
We need to respect all Americans, or we shall certainly lose this election. This election is too high stakes to lose on a racist candidate, and I applaud Governor Perry on setting the record straight.
