EXCLUSIVE: George Allen endorses Craig Parisot in race to replace Barbara Comstock

Parisot [1]In a quick turnaround, Republicans in the 34th House of Delegates District will have a Firehouse Primary this Saturday, November 15th, to pick their nominee to replace Congresswoman-elect Barbara Comstock.

Two Republicans have announced and one, Craig Parisot [2], is out the gate early with a strong endorsement from former Senator and Governor George Allen:

I’m proud to endorse Craig Parisot in the special election for the 34th House of Delegates district. As a family man, veteran and successful entrepreneur, Craig has the experience and background to help grow our economy and create jobs. Craig will be an energetic and strong voice for Virginia families in Richmond in the hardworking tradition of Barbara Comstock and I respectfully ask you to join me in supporting his campaign.

In addition to Governor Allen, former Rep. Tom Davis has also endorsed Parisot for Delegate:

Craig Parisot is a veteran and a business man and currently serves as President of the board of Volunteer Fairfax and a member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council and Northern Virginia Republican Business Forum among other groups [11].

Parisot will face off against Al Johnson at the firehouse primary Saturday, Nov 15th from 10am to 2pm at Colvin Run Elementary School 1400 Trap Rd, Vienna, VA 22182.

Kathleen Murphy, who lost to Barbara Comstock in 2013 and spent this election cycle campaigning hard for John Foust’s 16 point loss to Comstock in the Congressional race, has announced for the Democratic nomination [12].

The special election for the 34th House of Delegates is scheduled for Tuesday, January 6th.
