A little post-game interview with Chuck Todd, who moderated the Senate debate between Ed Gillespie and Mark Warner. If Chuck didn’t know any better, Mark Warner is acting like a guy in a neck-and-neck race (though Warner has never trailed in any published poll):
A small take away — Gillespie’s “97 percent” line has succeeded in getting under Warner’s notoriously thin skin. The approach is not unique to the Virginia race. In the very competitive Colorado Senate race, Sen. Mark Udall has been tagged with a “99 percent” line, and there, too, it has caused the incumbent some irritation.
99 percent does have a certain ring to it.
