Breaking: Supreme Court declines to hear Virginia gay marriage appeal, Bostic ruling will stand

Here’s more at the Washington Post [1].  The Court did not grant hearings on any of the seven gay marriage cases from across the United States today.

To sum things up, by not granting certiorari, the Supreme Court is allowing the 4th Circuit’s ruling in Rainey v. Bostic [2] to stand.  That means that, as early as today, marriage licenses for same sex couples will be issued in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
