Marshall gets bragging rights

Yes, it’s a straw poll, and such creatures are often worth little more than the straw used to conduct them. However, the results of the Manassas Tea Party’s straw poll [1] do give Del. Bob Marshall some genuine bragging rights in the crowded race for the GOP’s 10th district congressional district nomination:

At the end of the forum the Manassas Tea Party conducted a straw poll to survey audience opinion of the candidates. Well known to voters in this area, Delegate Bob Marshall walked away in the poll with 49%, while Stephen Hollingshead was second with 25%. Remaining candidates each collected 8% or less.

Those with less than eight percent included Del. Barbra Comstock, Marc Savitt and Democrat John Foust (who clocked-in with “0”).

The poor showing for Del. Comstock? Excuses will flow…but it may also be an omen.
