The legislative committee in the 6th State Senate district announced late last night that the nomination method would be a party canvass (also known as a firehouse primary) on Thursday, November 21st, from 3PM – 7 PM.
As of today, two (or three, depending on who you believe) candidates have filed to run for the party nomination: Wayne Coleman, Richard Ottinger, and perhaps, John Coggeshall.
On the other side of the aisle, three Democrats have filed for the Democratic nod, to be decided November 16th.
For those of you interested, or living in the 6th State Senate district, here are the precincts in the firehouse primary:
