Where have all the flowers gone?

whereflowers [1]Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago?

Where are the protests from the anti-war left? Where are the signs and the screams that once called George Bush a murderer and “Bushitler?”

Where is Cindy Sheehan?

With the President leading us to intervene in Syria when there have been no direct threats to our country where are the marches in our streets? When we’re about to arm the people who attacked us twelve years ago, where are the protest songs?

When the President who said he opposed the war with Iraq from the beginning finds support from John McCain and Lindsay Graham, and even Eric Cantor?

And frankly, does no one else find that coalition the least bit disturbing?

Ken Cuccinelli has voiced his opposition to action while Terry McAuliffe has admitted that this, like so many other things, is above his pay grade [2].

While Code Pink did make an appearance on Capitol Hill earlier this week, co-founder Medea Benjamin told The Washington Times [3], “We’ve been protesting Obama’s foreign policy for years now, but we can’t get the same numbers because the people who would’ve been yelling and screaming about this stuff under Bush are quiet under Obama.”

Fancy that.

Personally, I can’t wait for all the pro-war on Syria speeches at the Academy Awards.

Oh, when will they ever learn?
