You will notice a few changes coming to Bearing Drift in the days and weeks ahead. We’ve already mentioned one, but it’s just the beginning of how we intend to make this site even better for you.
Without contributors, this web site is a blank page. We’re unpardonably proud of our writers and we’re happy to add these fine folks to our already stellar ranks:
Rob Bluey. Rob is the director of the Heritage Foundation’s Center for Media and Public Policy. Rob is a journalist and blogger who leads The Heritage Foundation’s digital media department and investigative reporting unit. A former reporter and editor, he and his family live in Northern Virginia.
Dr. Ron Utt. A former senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation and most recently the author of “Ships of Oak, Guns of Iron,” Dr. Utt is a nationally recognized expert on transportation, economic development and housing policy.
Steve Minor. One of the grand old men of the Virginia blogosphere, Steve is an attorney in Bristol, Virginia, whose SW Virginia Law Blog has been a source of sober legal analysis and dry wit since 2003.
Terrence Boulden. A longtime conservative stalwart and a known quality among Virginia’s conservative blogosphere, Terrance is also one of the driving forces behind Virginia Black Conservatives.
Those are the ones we can announce right now — more are coming (and a few big surprises are in the offing, so stay tuned).
We’ve set the wheels in motion to give Bearing Drift a complete redesign. We won’t spoil the surprise, but a totally new look, with new features and functions is coming to this address (did someone say video?).
The Purpose Remains the Same
More contributors, a new look, and a few more additions and content partnerships that we will announce soon. There is one thing we are not changing: our commitment to advancing conservative ideas. We thank you for reading. We appreciate your comments. And we hope you will enjoy the new look, new faces and new content coming your way.
