Senator Barbara Favola (D-Arlington) said, “Republicans appear poised to keep fighting to repeal the constitutionally protected rights of women and take us back to the dark ages. When will the war on women stop? Last year, we saw the medically unnecessary ultrasound bill and the TRAP regulations. This year, we already see bills to limit women’s access to health care choices — even denying women the right to access contraception.”
Dark Ages?
As in… Rome fell. Then the Dark Ages. Then 500 years of history happened. Then the Renaissance. Ted’s Abortion Barn opened.
Now modern age.

Senator Mark Herring (D-Loudoun & Fairfax) announced that he is introducing legislation to repeal the TRAP regulations passed by the General Assembly in 2011.
Senator Herring said, “In 2011, the Republicans did real damage to Virginia’s women by passing burdensome regulations on health care centers that provide services to thousands of women across the Commonwealth.”
Translation:
Senator Herring said, “In 2011, the Republicans did real damage to Virginia’s women by passing burdensome regulations on health care centers that provide services to thousands of women across the Commonwealth making sure abortion clinics meet the same safety standards as modern dentistry.”
Last and most certainly least, State Senator Ralph Northam would like to remind you as to why he is utterly unqualified for public office:
Senator Northam said, “Last year, a group of legislators, most of whom were men, passed legislation that forces women to have an unnecessary and expensive ultrasound prior to an elective procedure against the woman’s will and against the better judgment of her physician. We learned about transvaginal ultrasound on the floor of the Senate, and our state was embarrassed around the nation.”
Just to be clear — Planned Parenthood already performs this procedure with or without the legislation… and when we’re talking about “invasive” procedures, certainly Northam wasn’t talking about this, was he?
Because if the women are in the womb, then it is WAR ON for Democrats, right?
Let’s be honest: Virginia Democrats have been wrong on every major social justice and civil rights issue in history. Democrats have been wrong on slavery, segregation, Jim Crow, eugenics, welfare, and now abortion — and they simply can’t get it out of their DNA.
Shameful, isn’t it? But hey… if they’re going to keep doing one press release a day talking about how obsessed they are with killing babies, let’s talk about it. Maybe then, folks will understand just how deeply (and financially) entrenched the Democratic Party is with the politics of abortion.
Never before have I seen a party so committed to the misery of others… well, excepting the Democratic Party of the 1860s, but that’s another matter.
