Bolling wins first online poll

In what will be the first of many likely polls for gubernatorial preference between now and June, Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling has won the completely non-scientific Bearing Drift online poll regarding who is the more “electable” candidate for governor. While not a straight-up preference poll, it is clear that Bolling does have an online organization and is ready to put it into action. That said, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, Bolling’s most clear rival, also has a strong network and was able to pull in some good numbers.

In the end, Bolling, who posted the poll on Facebook and created a Facebook advertisement, was able to win 52-47 percent of the nearly 1900 votes cast.

Of the Republicans running for governor, who is more electable?

  • Bill Bolling (52%, 969 Votes)
  • Ken Cuccinelli (47%, 872 Votes)
  • Other (2%, 31 Votes)

Total Voters: 1,872
