Rufus is happy!

I thought the Obama campaign had reached a new low when it came to fundraising appeals when they ran their “win a party with George Clooney” contest.

Then I see this gem of a fundraising email:

Is this for real?  Our finance director is happy! Give the President money!

If this is how modern campaign fundraising is supposed to work, we’re all doing it wrong. Don’t bother with carefully crafted messages, appeals to policy or issues of the day, or even forming coherent thoughts in more than seven words.

How long before we get a fundraising email from the President that reads:

“Brian —

Can I borrow five bucks?

Thanx,

BO”

Can it get any worse?
