Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, the tea party favorite who knocked off Democrat Russ Feingold in the 2010 elections, will travel to Richmond tomorrow where he will formally endorse George Allen for the GOP Senate nomination.
Johnson is keen to have Allen in the Senate in part because of the latter’s long support for a balanced budget amendment, as well as Allen’s record of supporting small businesses. Before he entered the Senate, Johnson ran a high-tech plastics manufacturing company called Pacur.
The two will host a round table discussion with small business owners tomorrow afternoon.
I’ll have a full report on that event on BD tomorrow.
