Kenny Golden announced in a press conference last night that he’s running as a “Modern Whig [1]” candidate.
He’s not the first to do so in Virginia [2]: Jeff Vanke is also running under that label in the 6th Congressional District.
From what I can tell, it appears they are the only two in the country running under that banner.
Update: Apparently Golden is not running as a Whig. According to Max Schapiro, I need to “apply my logic evenhandedly” and correct the record that he’s merely accepted their endorsement, just as he has the Independent Green Party.
Just curious – did Golden hold a press conference with a 4-day lead time for the Independent Greens?
