According to the Richmond Times Dispatch [2], Iran’s President Mahmoud “Ahmadinejad accused the West of launching a ‘heavy propaganda’ campaign against the case of an Iranian woman who had been sentenced to be stoned to death for adultery but failing to react with outrage over the imminent execution of Teresa Lewis in Virginia.”
Whatever your opinion of the death penalty and the Lewis case, should we really give a flip about what this nutjob thinks?

Regarding Lewis, the U.S. Supreme Court this evening turned down her request for stay of execution. Governor McDonnell has said he will not intervene. Teresa Lewis, 41, is scheduled to die by injection Thursday at 9 p.m. at the Greensville Correctional Center in Jarratt.
