I’m sick of Mayor Holley’s racism!

Today was the absolute final straw. If Portsmouth does not oust its racist leader, I shall begin an effort to oust Portsmouth from succeeding to exist as a city. Economic, legislative, public, private – any and all legal means. I’ll be the darndest community organizer you’ve ever met.

Norfolk’s own embarrassment, Councilman Paul Riddick, was elected Chair of Hampton Roads Transit. He had the votes, and it is Norfolk’s turn to Chair. I’m willing to see how he does in the job.

But Holley’s comment to Riddick was unconscionable!

“Just wear a white shirt and you’ll be OK.” (Pilot [1])

Really? A white shirt? Is that to go with that “white hotel [2],” Mayor Holley?

Portsmouth voters have scheduled a recall effort for Holley, whom was endorsed by the Virginian-Pilot [3] in the last election, with the only complaint being that he was more “ceremonial” than a “forceful presence” – boy, were they wrong! The Pilot now says he should be out of office.

July 13th is the recall [4]election. He won’t quit. He won’t resign. He won’t retire. So, Portsmouth, it’s all up to you.

Or July 14th, my effort to change the Seven Cities to the Six Cities begins.
