NAACP says outer space is racist

A Hallmark graduation card has an audio clip with the following script:

“Hey world, we are officially putting you on notice. Yeah. And you black holes, you are so ominous. And you planets, watch your back.”

And the NAACP thinks the part about “black holes” is racist. So, Hallmark has taken the card off the shelves.

“That was very demeaning to African American women. When it made reference to African American women as whores and at the end, it says ‘watch your back,'” said Leon Jenkins of the Los Angeles NAACP.

Uhm, excuse me, you dolt. A “black hole” is a scientific term. Where is your mind? I guess you’re going to want to go back in time and ban this 1979 movie, “The Black Hole [1],” while you’re at it, that is if time travel isn’t racist, too.

Maybe we should pre-clear all terms and precepts of science in media through the NAACP so we can make sure it doesn’t offend the hypersensitive mamby-pambies.

Hallmark says “the card’s theme is the solar system and emphasizes the power of the grad to take over the universe, even energy-absorbing black holes.”

But grade school science seems too deep for those geniuses at the NAACP. ” ‘It sounds like a group of children laughing and joking about blackness, again,’ said another NAACP member. ”

Uhm, no, but after watching you all react to a science-themed graduation card, there are a lot more actually sane people laughing and joking about you.

And while you’re at it, I’m pretty offended by the C in NAACP. Why aren’t you?
