So, it’s really not about women’s health?

Planned Parenthood has sent out an email alert urging their supporters to lobby against the passage of House Bill 393, introduced by Delegate Matthew Lohr of Harrisonburg.

Planned Parenthood says: This bill is a thinly disguised attempt to impose burdensome and unnecessary regulations on abortion providers so that the provision of services would become prohibitively expensive and thus out of reach for many women in Virginia.

But, here’s the full text of the bill [1]:

Abortion clinics; licensure and regulation. Requires all abortion clinics, defined as any facility other than a hospital or an ambulatory surgery center in which 25 or more first trimester abortions are performed in any 12-month period, to be licensed and regulated by the Board of Health.

Abortion providers shouldn’t be licensed and regulated?

So much for “safe and legal.”
