There will be a dead-of-night cloture vote 1 a.m. Monday on health care reform. And, as of now, Democrats are counting on 60 votes – including Sen. Jim Webb’s – to pass the expansive legislation.
Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska is the guy that caved [1].
At this point, I say let ’em pass it. It will make for a very good 2010 for Republicans.
However, if you hold out hope that Webb will somehow live up to his reputation of being a fighter for what’s right, AFP has set up a web site with Webb’s contact info [2] so that you can encourage him to vote no.
