Overall, this debate was a victory for Bolling, as Wagner often dodged the hard questions and kept on attacking Bolling for missing meetings of committees, in which he was not an member. Wagner offered no vision or initiatives for job growth or improving the current financial state in Virginia. Bolling has solid initiatives that will improve job growth, transportation, and restore fiscal responsibility.
Also, from what I understand, there was a misunderstanding of the rules by the Wagner campaign and the moderator regarding the use of notes on stage. What ensued was a heated exchange between campaign staffers that ultimately resulted in the Virginia Bar Association saying that the Bolling campaign was right and that no rules had been broken.
If another blogger is trying to make this a bigger deal, I guess that’s another feather in their credibility cap.
