You’d think with President Obama having both Houses of Congress firmly in the D column, he’d be able to keep a promise or two. Obama opposed Hillary Clinton’s “play or pay” fines for health care during the campaign, but he loves them now. Promises to keep unemployment under 8% if only we went further into debt? Gone with the Wind.
Closing Gitmo and bringing terrorists to places like Virginia? Well, doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen [1] any time soon. What’s the problem? Why can’t he do what he promised about Guantanamo Bay prison?
Quite frankly, nobody wants the terrorists in their neighborhoods. Officials float a location to host “trials” like Newport News, Virginia or Alexandria, Virginia. What happens? BAM! Democrats become as popular as Ronald McDonald at a PETA convention.
Maybe one of these days someone is going to replay the debates or campaign speeches Obama gave last year, then have a roundtable discussion with newspaper editorial writers and hosted by Congressman Joe Wilson.
