My thoughts on Delegates who get jobs from offices they fund

She shouldn’t do it.

“McCabe said he had not advertised the position but had talked in the past with Miller about the post, which has been open for at least a year.”

“How do you not pick up somebody like Paula Miller?” McCabe asked.

Sheriff’s offices get how much of their funding from the State? So here’s a nice job for a Delegate that isn’t advertised for anyone.

It’s the middle of a recession, folks. Unemployment is high. Do you mean to tell me that no one can talk to the press as well as Paula Miller can, to the point where you don’t even need to interview ANYONE else?

She’s carried legislation that benefits Sheriffs (HB 2574 [2] this year alone).
She serves on the Militia, Police and Public Safety committee.

Now she gets a cush job offer on the hush hush.

“And her daughter is now old enough to drive herself to Catholic High School in Virginia Beach, Miller said.”

Don’t even get me started on Democrat “strong supporters of Education” who don’t send their children to public schools.

If we’re going to lead a crusade about where part-time Delegates work for a living, let’s make sure we aren’t closing the left eye.
