Gov. Tim Kaine changed the date of a meeting on short-notice with congressional representatives and then wonderd why Republicans didn’t show up [1].
A couple Democrats showed, but Rep. J. Randy Forbes (R-VA04), perhaps said it best:
Forbes said he also was mindful that Republicans would be meeting with a governor who, as head of the Democratic National Committee, would want to “get up and walk into the next room and plot your demise.”
“You can be a political governor or a unifying governor, but you can’t be both,” Forbes said.
