When Brian Moran resigned from his Delegate seat he also resigned as chairman of the House of Delegates Democratic Caucus. Anita Kumar reports [1] that Del. Kristen Amundson is activly running for the position but is not a guarantee:
Del. Lionell Spruill Sr. (D-Chesapeake), who recently resigned his position as caucus vice chairman, said he will not support Amundson but refused to eloborate.
“It’s not bad blood,” Spruill said. “It’s what is best for the caucus.”
Amundson and House Minority Leader Ward L. Armstrong (D-Henry) would not comment on Spruill’s remarks.
Spruill recently resigned his leadership position to focus more on working for the Moran for Governor and Bowerbank for Lt. Governor campaigns [2].
Amundson has endorsed Jody Wagner for Lieutenant Governor [3].
