Obama: “Not Hillary” and a “Blank Screen”

The Virginian writes an excellent post on Obama’s meteoric rise [1] to the Democratic nomination, overcoming a 27-point deficit to Sen. Hillary Clinton in Nov. 2007.

“People never see him, they always see their own desires and hopes reflected back to them,” writes the Virginian. He attributes that quality, and more, to Obama’s success.

But he postulates that this Obama trait is beginning to fade.

“The blank screen is shredding, the man behind it is being revealed, and the image is not pretty,” The Virginian says.
