Transportation session? I’m off to Paris!
July 1, 2008
So, despite a never-ending special session that appears to be lasting until at least next Wednesday…and is sure to see HB 6055 fail (as well as Saslaw’s Senate bill), the Majority Leader in the Senate, Dick Saslaw, has decided to take a trip to Paris, assuring that the session will continue until he gets back.
So, how much will that trip to Paris cost the citizens of the commonwealth while the General Assembly remains in session?
Just why did the commonwealth have to endure this this special session where the governor’s bill wasn’t even carried in the Senate and no solution will even be remotely addressed?
Hmm.
Minor correction: the session has to end by next Wednesday so that the Senate Leader can then go on vacation. So, pack your bags folks…solution or no solution, it’s off to Paris!
