Stewart Calls for Unanimity

Corey Stewart is a very talented and very smart man.

He is chairman of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, chairman of the Donald Trump for President campaign here in the commonwealth, and wants to be Virginia’s next governor.

Today, he throws down the you’re “either with us or against us” gauntlet for the 2017 GOP gubernatorial nomination fight on Ed Gillespie and Rob Wittman.

“With 56 days left, I am urging all Virginia’s gubernatorial candidates to join me in a common mission of electing Donald J. Trump- while putting our own campaigns on the back-burner. This is an invitation to support Trump’s candidacy by speaking at candidate rallies, attending local Trump events, and showing support publicly. We all know what’s at stake. We have closed the gap, and we are now neck-and-neck with Hillary here in Virginia and around the country. There is no time to waste. I like to take my elections one at a time and this seems, shall we say, a bit too eager? Or is it desperate? Or is it doubling-down? Or is it just leadership calling for unity?

My guess is Stewart knows exactly what he’s doing.
