It Writes a Book; It Gets the Hose Again

From the PhD who barely published comes a book about… well, himself.
How amazingly droll… given that his thesis is no longer on the Randolph-Macon website (oops?) and that the man has barely contributed to the field, it is time for you (gentle reader) to contribute to Brat’s royalties.
…and before we really get into the rock throwing, you would think that the guy who knocked off a majority leader with a lot of Democratic coaching would get picked up by all the hardcore conservative publications — right? Regnery would be at the door, Harper-Collins, Penguin, Simon & Schuster… heck, for the culturally refined, ISI or Liberty Fund?
Ladies and gentlemen. If you’re gonna go… go all the way. From Brat’s publisher:
Center Street publishes positive, affirming Nonfiction books in such categories as Motivation, Leadership, Sports, Health and Fitness, Autobiographies, and Current Events. It publishes Fiction in a broad range of categories for the general market.
Interestingly enough, there’s a Gingrich connection here… which means that the Trump orbit is not too terribly far away. Plus there’s that other highly readable pat on the back on how to bag and tag RINOs…
Perhaps I’m being too hard. Brat has often said that he wanted to write a book on “Moral Markets” as an exposition of what he really believed as a Calvinist… or Catholic… or both (?!)… and really dive in and explain what he meant in his PhD thesis describing the Protestant work ethic and a lot of ideas that seemed heavily borrowed from Max Weber and the “closed systems” of Karl Marx (i.e. one cannot create wealth, only aggregate it).
Perhaps Brat intends to redeem himself. Or his ghostwriter is feverishly attempting to put some substance in the empty suit with pithy one liners and deeply moving and profound insights hovering somewhere between Joel Osteen and Hallmark greeting cards. To wit:
“God works in mysterious ways. But in most cases, God works through people.”
…ri-i-i-i-ight.
Or we could all have our disappointments confirmed. What an embarrassment.
