U.S. Congressman J. Randy Forbes has been active in the Second Congressional District lately, including today with visits to the Norfolk VFW and a joint announcement with Rep. Scott Rigell.
This morning, Forbes will meet at the Norfolk VFW, accompanied by business owner Ben Loyola, a former candidate for congress and Navy officer, to discuss military issues.
Loyola writes to his supporters:
I wanted to extend a special invitation on an important meeting with Congressman Randy Forbes. Randy will be sharing current trends and issues that are impacting our country, our region, military personnel and veterans. This will be a great opportunity to interact with Randy.

After this meeting, Forbes is to join Rigell for an announcement we “Don’t want to miss”, according to Rigell. Rigell sent to his supporters this note:

Following Rigell’s announcement earlier this year that he was not seeking a fourth term, attorney Pat Cardwell and Delegate Scott Taylor have announced their candidacies to seek the GOP nomination. Forbes’ entrance is possible due to the uncertainty imposed by a three-judge panel on current congressional district lines.
