According to a press release from RPV, Texas Senator Ted Cruz has submitted his signatures for the RPV’s “pre-check” to qualify for the Virginia Republican Primary ballot. Multiple campaigns have submitted their signatures this week, including Ohio Governor John Kasich, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson. Donald Trump, the first to submit, di so earlier this month.
“Senator Cruz and his Campaign team proved to be very organized and energetic in their efforts to get on the Virginia ballot,” said RPV Chairman John Whitbeck. “As of Senator Cruz’s filing, we have more than a third of the current GOP field that will appear on the ballot, including 5 of the top 6 in the latest polls. In 2012 we only had two candidates on the ballot so we are thrilled that our aggressive efforts to help the candidates qualify for the ballot is paying off. We anticipate more candidates will submit to pre-check ahead of the December 10 deadline.”

I look forward to being very competitive in Virginia as a result of your efforts.”
As has been widely report, the signature requirement for Virginia require solid organization, grassroots support and funding to successfully complete. This early signature submission shows campaign organization and strength. Senator Cruz’s campaign is showing signs it is committed to winning Virginia. Time to start door knocking.
