Terry McAuliffe has pretty much conceded there’s not a chance in a million that Medicaid expansion is coming to Virginia. So, he’s onto his next legacy: mandating education spending in the localities by making it his “number one” priority for the next biennial budget.
John Kasich came to town and thanks to “The Steve Batton Show” for being there and getting exclusive audio of the town hall. Did it change anyone’s perspective? Is he a candidate to be reckoned with? Or is his past record on health care and a misplaced attempt at humor sink his chances in the commonwealth?
We also delve into the presidential numbers. Norm and Shaun think strategically. I look at what the people are saying.
Finally, we get into Rep. Rob Wittman declaring at a fundraiser that he’s not supporting Rep. Kevin McCarthy for speaker. Perhaps a salvo into his bid for governor?
