So, okay, we’re actually going to have a little bearing drift. Going a bit off course, I’m joined on the podcast by Susan Swecker, the chair of the Democratic Party of Virginia, to talk a little politics – at least a little political science.
In this exclusive interview, Susan discusses how she became involved in politics and how she encourages others to participate – no matter what their ideology, how the Democratic Party is investing in information technology, moving forward with fundraising (VPAP: RPV and DPVA), and the demise of the “Demon Donkey.”
We will be sad to see it go:
She also talks about the upcoming DPVA fundraiser with headliner, likely presidential nominee, and former secretary of state, Hillary Clinton.
But she also says that presidential aspirants, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, are more than welcome in the commonwealth. And even Jim Webb, if he ever makes up his mind to stop selling books.
We also have a conversation about primaries v. conventions. It would appear the Democratic Party is enjoying watching the conversation being had at RPV. She didn’t say much, but she certainly said enough.
