News this morning from the Charlottesville Daily Progress where State Senator Bryce Reeves has finally discovered who his new challenger will be… Albermarle School Board Chairman Ned Gallaway:
“I am running for state Senate because it is my belief that investing in the education of our children is our community’s top priority,” Gallaway said. “Virginia needs to deliver a world class education to our children, as they will be the leaders and innovators who will drive the progress of our commonwealth.”
Gallaway would replace Democrat Traci Dippert, a Rappahannock teacher and resident of the town of Culpeper, who recently withdrew from the race.
Color us unimpressed, though neighboring State Senator Criegh Deeds — the guy who is #2 most responsible for getting Reeves elected (thank you greed and redistricting) — was helpful with an endorsement. To Gallaway, just to be clear.
Reeves has $463,177 cash on hand as of his 31 March 2015 filing report.
