Rasmussen Reports has released their much anticipated first poll of the GOP field and shows former GOP nominee Mitt Romney with a double-digit lead over his closest competitor, Jeb Bush.
The survey of likely Republican voters found:
Mitt Romney: 24%
Jeb Bush: 13%
Ben Carson: 12%
Scott Walker: 11%
Rand Paul 7%
Chris Christie 7%
Marco Rubio 5%
Rick Perry 5%
“Four percent (4%) of GOP voters like some other candidate, and 12% are undecided,” says the report.
In related news, Marco Rubio took the first steps of his campaign – hiring a fundraiser who recently worked at American Crossroads, Karl Rove’s firm.
