Remember when Ken Cuccinelli said Terry McAuliffe would raise taxes and McAuliffe’s campaign squad would deny it?
McAuliffe obviously forgot.
See, Virginia is in great peril, and McAuliffe wants to go ahead and face the peril…..by cranking up the car tax!
“Gov. Terry McAuliffe said Monday that Virginia’s economy is in a “very perilous” situation with potential federal defense cuts looming and that he’s open to eliminating tax relief programs — including one that partially offsets the state’s much maligned car tax — to fill a state budget gap.” (Virginian-Pilot)
McAuliffe even dusted off Creigh Deeds “table”
“Everything is on the table,” McAuliffe said. (Virginian-Pilot)
Unfortunately, it’s just a tax table, since he didn’t bring up any spending cuts.
What he didn’t explain was how raising taxes was supposed to help Virginia’s perilous economy.
If he had any hopes of winning any Senate seats in 2015, our esteemed Governor may have just dashed them all before 2014 hit the record books.
