A McDonnell juror speaks

Picking up the dribs and drabs from the McDonnell trial…one fascinating piece of video from Channel 8 News in Richmond, who interviewed one of the jurors. This juror says they decided the McDonnells were guilty on the first corruption charge almost immediately after deliberations began. And as for Jonnie Williams? His immunity deal colored the jury’s view of his testimony. But they also thought it gave him no reason to lie on the stand.
And the crazy wife defense? It fell completely flat. So much damage done so publicly and it swayed no one on the jury. It makes me wonder if Paul Goldman is right — the defense should serve half of whatever sentence the McDonnells are given in January:
