The RPV has put a new video ad together that, while it focuses on Warner’s “97 percent” agreement with the President, does contain a great clunker of a line from the incumbent Senator:
“Guard the change.”
It ranks right up there with “bury the silver” or “hide your wallet.”
Though, after six years as serving as a steady vote for more, and more expensive government, perhaps Warner was really issuing a warning. Guard the change…because change, and a drawer full of IOUs, is all you’re going to have left.

In today’s edition of “Virginia Morning News Review,” Jim Hoeft notes:
…Warner is completely ignoring requests from all across Virginia – including Christopher Newport University for the only Hampton Roads debate…a debate that could also feature Bearing Drift. This absence of courage has not gone unnoticed by the League of Women Voters and AARP Virginia. In an op-ed for the Fredericksburg Freelance Star, Anne Sterling (LWV) and Bill Kallio (AARP-VA) call on “the candidates” to agree to debate. Well, since Ed Gillespie already has agreed and Robert Sarvis would never say no…who could they possibly be talking about?
